Saskia grew up in the southern suburb of Athlone where she found her passion for entertainment through dance. She also modeled and in 1999 she reached the finals of the Miss SA Pageant.

Through her entertainment and fashion career, she was noticed by P4 Radio and offered the weekend sports presenter slot in 2001. Six months later she was the sports presenter on the Breakfast Show.

Saskia does yoga for relaxation and finds that it brings balance to her complex media driven lifestyle. She always finds time to indulge in exotic food and good wine. She loves her friends and family and has a passion for travelling. She also declares the love for shoes is a definite weakness.
