Tonight I learned from you how dangerous jealousy can be. I learned how confused you are between healthy and unhealthy jealousy. No wonder we have such a high rate of abuse in this country...
I learned how jealousy is forced to be present in relationships once the trust is gone. A certain amount of jealousy is always healthy. It makes a person feel loved, special, desired. But when the jealousy becomes the focus of a relationship, when a person begins to lie, adapt their behaviour, as they know how badly jealous a partner is, then its unhealthy.
Its going to make your partner crazy if you continue to have a relationship with your ex; if you keep secrets from her/him ; you are being cruel as you breed jealousy and then call the person crazy for being jealous- go work that one out.
As we enter the 16 DAYS OF NO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN be aware of the role jealousy plays in your life. Get counselling from FAMSA (see contact numbers on my home page here). Don't undermine how bad you feel, how insecure you feel and thus how jealously you behave. Deal with it professionally.
