Did you get to hear the show tonight? Big wow, seriously fab. The topic was Child Abuse. All part of 16 days of activism of no violence against women and children. Joan van Niekerk was our guest. She works as an advocate for children's rights and responsibilities, advising government and training educators and parents. The response was overwhelming- most surprising to Diggy and I was the fact that only men called in. The one woman who called in is a psychology student. Good on you men! In small ways we can change the face of abuse of women and children. By us creating these forums on radio for you to engage in conversation , by you taking the time and trouble to listen and participate, change happens. First in the mind then in behaviour.

Men got really serious into the conversation about discipline - what kind of discipline do you practice as a parent? Do you believe a "klap" now and then is acceptable? Do you feel inadequate/untrained as a parent to manage and discipline your children?

Blog me your ideas. Once again this is a professional forum in which we can learn from each other.
