Saskia Falken is an inspiration to Cape Town women. Raised in a single parent home in Athlone, she found her passion for entertainment through dance. The demanding exercise regime that this required had another upside - in her teens, she began modeling and succeeded in reaching the finals of the 1999 Miss SA Pageant.

Among a series of entertainment and fashion industry jobs that she held, she was offered a weekend sports presenter slot at P4 Radio in 2001. Within 6 months, she was presenting sports on the Breakfast Show. After being successfully courted by other stations as her profile continued to grow, Saskia returned “home” to Heart 104.9 in 2007 where she has settled in the mid-morning slot; a show which strongly reflects her own interests.

To bring balance to her hectic lifestyle as a media personality, Saskia does yoga for relaxation, and always finds time to indulge in good wine and exotic foods with good friends and family. Her passion for travel is well known, but Saskia also admits to a weakness for shoe shopping.
