Santa arrived early this year for children in the Southern Suburbs.  Heart 104.9FM DJs saddled their iron horses to help the Toy Run Trust distribute gifts to children at Maitland Cottage in Newlands and Christel house in Ottery this morning.  The gifts were from the thousands of toys collected at the 27th Annual Toy Run held at the end of last month.

Heart 104.9FM is extending a warm welcome to visitors to the Republic of Cape Town with a creative 100m billboard at the Cape Town International Airport’s arrivals collection point.  The creative, done by Lowe Bull is cleverly designed to image drivers picking up visitors, with name boards in their hands. The names on the boards are those of popular bands and singers, which are indicative of the station’s adult contemporary playlist.

Embodying the spirit of “cut carbon, dare to change”, renowned climate change expert and editor of the book “Bending the Curve” Robert Zipplies, in partnership with Project 90 by 2030 took a month out of his life to complete an epic journey from Cape Town to Durban on an electric bicycle.
